The Government Polytechnic, Gadge Nagar, Amravati, has done some remarkable work for the Shendurjana-Bazar Amravati, Maharashtra. They installed solar water pump which leads to sustainable development and pump is running on electricity generated by photovoltaic panels or the radiated thermal energy available from collected sunlight as opposed to grid electricity or diesel run water pumps. The operation of solar powered pumps is more economical mainly due to the lower operation and maintenance costs and has less environmental impact than pumps powered by an internal combustion engine (ICE). They successfully supported the removal of water scarcity.
Also the UBA team of college is in process of making a high level bridge for the villagers which will be completed within 6 months, to do easy communication so that it can bring prosperity to the villagers.
In coming years the UBA team is planning to convert Shendurjana-Bazar into a smart village.
