IIT Delhi Conducts Orientation Workshop for Participating Institutes
IIT Delhi in the capacity of Regional Coordinating Institute (RCI) for NCR Region, conducted an Orientation Workshop for Participating Institutes(PIs) to initiate work in adopted village clusters under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
Sixty-seven participants from Higher Educational Institutes (HEIs) from NCR region attended the workshop.
Prof. V.K. Vijay, National Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) welcomed all the participants and gave a detailed presentation on UBA and highlighted the importance of the progress and paradigm in the county.
Prof. Priyanka Kaushal, Prof. Vivek Kumar and Prof. Ajay Saini further conducted sessions on Implementation, Plan of Action for UBA, Funding Convergence and Participatory Rural Appraisal with other relevant schemes.
Prof. Sangeeta Kohli from IIT Delhi and Shri. Alok Gupta from Surabhi Foundation (special invitee) delivered their experience in the field with the participants.
All the participants understood the working of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan process and suggested that these kind of programmes should be regularly organised by RCIs.
