The Research and Development Cell of Indira Ganesan Group of Institutions, in collaboration with Startup Tamil Nadu, organized the first phase of the Innovative Ideas Competition “IGthaan Mole 2.0” on 13th September 2025 at Tiruchirappalli.
The event was presided over by Mr. Rajasekaran, Secretary of Indira Ganesan Group of Institutions, who delivered the presidential address. Dr. Balakrishnan, Director of the Institution, offered the felicitation address, and Dr. Anusuya, Registrar, delivered the vote of thanks.
The event featured Mr. Balakrishnan Mohandass, Senior Product Manager at KO Innovation Software Solutions, Trichy, and Dr. K. They evaluated the participants’ innovative projects and provided valuable feedback and suggestions for further improvement.

The evaluators appreciated the students’ innovative thinking and guided them with constructive comments to refine their projects further. The best ideas from this preliminary round were shortlisted for the next level of evaluation.
The event was well-organized under the guidance of Research Coordinators — Dr. K. Chithradevi (Principal, Allied Health Sciences), Dr. Sriram, Dr. R. Bharath Kumar, and Dr. P. Varalakshmi — who ensured the smooth conduct of all activities throughout the program.
