“Meendum Manjappai” – Environmental Awareness Programme for Medical Students (Pharmacy, Siddha, Nursing)

“Meendum Manjappai” – Environmental Awareness Programme Report The Research and Development Cell of Indira Ganesan Educational Institutions, in association with Unnath Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), successfully organized an environmental awareness programme titled “Meendum Manjappai” on 17.12.2025 for medical students of Pharmacy, Siddha and Nursing. The programme was presided over by the Secretary of Indira Ganesan Educational Institutions, Er.G.Rajasekaran. The Director and Principal, Dr.G.Balakrishnan, delivered the special address and appreciated the initiative, emphasizing the importance of environmental protection and the need to reduce plastic usage. The welcome address was delivered by the Registrar, Dr. M. Anusuya. The Chief Guest of Honour for the programme was Rotarian AKS Dr. K. Srinivasan, Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, Srirangam Branch, Tiruchirappalli, and Advisor to Indira Ganesan Educational Institutions. He distributed 1000 cloth bags to the medical students and highlighted the significance of using eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bags for the welfare of the environment.
