Awareness on Mushroom Cultivation

The UBA Cell of Dogra Degree College, organized an informative session on mushroom cultivation and vermi-composting to promote sustainable agricultural practices and livelihood opportunities among villagers .The session was conducted by Mr. Kushal Singh Jamwal, JAEO, DCTC Mushroom Zone, Jakh, who provided valuable insights into modern and eco-friendly farming techniques. He highlighted the potential of mushroom cultivation and vermi-composting as cost-effective and sustainable methods that can generate additional income and support self-employment in rural areas. Students and villagers actively participated in the workshop, gaining practical knowledge and awareness about environmentally sustainable agricultural practices. This initiative played a significant role in encouraging skill development and promoting sustainable livelihoods within the community, in line with the objectives of the UBA Cell.
