awareness on women's empowerment and economic development of women

The Staff and students of RVS College of Arts and Science, Sulur, Coimbatore, have been conducting road shows in Ravathur Village near Sulur to create awareness about women's empowerment and economic development of women. The first phase in this regard was introducing a library to the village people, educating them about the importance of reading. The library contained books that impart the knowledge necessary for skill development. Apart from books, the village people had the opportunity to view some of the artistic talents of students of RVS in the form of music, dance, and drama. It was indeed a new experience for the people of Ravathur that created a milestone in paving the way for women's progress in Ravathur Village.
