Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (75th India’s independence day celebrations) As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (75th India’s independence day celebrations), Nehru Yuva Kendra (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India), Namakkal, India Post, Namakkal division, and the National Service Scheme, Youth Red Cross, Red Ribbon Club, and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal jointly conducted the programme entitled “Block Level Meri Maati Mera Desh (Maati Ka Namaan Veeronka Vandan/Amlesh Yatra): Building of clay and salutation to the brave on 25th October 2023 in the college premises. The main aim of the programme is Meri Maati Mera Desh (my soil, my country). It also includes honouring freedom fighters who protect the nation and families of brave or freedom fighters. All the participants were taking the panch pran pledge with a fistful of soil. All the volunteers from NSS, YRC, RRC, and UBA Cell had collected their clay (soil) and put it in the pot. Mr. G. Panneerselvam, Office of the Superintendent of Police, Namakkal Division and Mr. R.S. Arun, Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Nehru Yuvakendra, Namakkal were the special invitees. They highlighted the role of our freedom fighters for our India’s independence. Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director, Academic, The NSS Programme Officers Dr. M. Sasikala, Mrs. S. Jayamathi, the Coordinator of RRC, Mrs. V. Gokila, the Coordinator of YRC, Mrs. V. Kalaivani, and the Coordinator of UBA Cell, Mrs. S. Hemalatha, also spoke on that occasion. More than 300 students at Trinity College for Women took part.
