Campaign for making Kattakada Legislative Assembly Constituency a 100% Graduate Entity

IGNOU Regional Centre Trivandrum has launched a pilot programme titled ” Universal Graduate Education through IGNOU” at six panchayaths of Kattakada Constituency in Trivandrum district under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. A preliminary meeting chaired by the Hon’ble MLA of Kattakada constituency with IGNOU officials and local body functionaries was held on 13th June 2024.It is planned that all persons above 18 years and below 50 years shall be enrolled for IGNOU Graduation programmes namely Bachelor of Arts (BAM) Bachelor of Science (BSCM) and BCOMF: Bachelor of Commerce. The initiative is launched with the active involvement of local body officials and the MLA of the constituency. Special focus under this initiative will be on enrolling SC/ST learners to IGNOUs Graduation programmes. If successful, the Kattakada Constituency will become India’s first fully Graduate constituency.
