Community Engagement and Market Exposure for Rural Women

The Community Engagement and Market Exposure activity for rural women under Project Pragati was conducted during February and April 2025 in Tikker Panchayat and Sanhol Panchayat of Solan District, Himachal Pradesh. Organized by the Centre for Leadership Coaching, Shoolini University, the initiative aimed to provide rural women with practical market exposure and help them understand the fundamentals of product presentation, customer interaction, and community engagement. Through participation in community-based platforms and Self-Help Group (SHG) activities, the women experienced real-world market interactions and gained firsthand knowledge of basic market dynamics. The activity played a significant role in building confidence among participants, enabling them to effectively present and sell their products within the community. As a result, the rural women demonstrated improved communication skills and self-confidence, developed a clearer understanding of basic marketing and customer engagement practices, and strengthened their linkages with local community networks, contributing to their overall empowerment and entrepreneurial growth.
