Empowering Rural Education through Technology and Community Engagement
Under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) initiative, Mar Ephraem College of Engineering and Technology successfully implemented the project titled "Empowering Rural Education through Technology and Community Engagement" at St. Antony's High School, Surulacode to strengthen rural education and promote sustainable community development through technology. The programme included the installation of a desktop computer, multimedia projector, and projection screen to enhance digital learning, along with an Orientation Programme for teachers on technology-enabled teaching practices. A comprehensive field survey was conducted to identify the educational, technical, digital, and developmental needs of the school and the surrounding rural community, providing valuable insights for implementing innovative and sustainable technology-based solutions. The initiative strengthened collaboration between the institution, school, and local community while promoting digital literacy, improving educational quality, and supporting the overall welfare and socio-economic development of the rural community. It also laid a strong foundation for future UBA activities aimed at addressing local challenges through appropriate technological interventions and community engagement.
