Govt. Scheme Awareness Campaign
To promote awareness and community welfare, the UBA (Unnat Bharat Abhiyan) Cell of
Dogra Degree College organized a door-to-door campaign about Government Welfare
Schemes in the Village of Meen Sarkar, located in the Bari Brahmana region. The initiative
aimed to address various pressing issues affecting the villagers, including health, sanitation,
education, Govt. Schemes and environmental concerns.
The campaign’s primary goal was to educate and inform the local community about
sustainable practices, government welfare schemes, and opportunities available for personal
and community development. The event was conducted with active participation from
college students, faculty members, and local volunteers.
The campaign was led by UBA PI Coordinator, Balwant Singh. Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal of
the Dogra Degree College, also supported the initiative. The student volunteers distributed
informative pamphlets to residents, highlighting various government welfare schemes
available to them. The campaign aimed to ensure that villagers were well-informed about the
schemes and how they could benefit from them.
The initiative was a success, fostering community engagement and awareness of available
resources for social welfare. The villagers actively participated in the discussions, showing a
keen interest in improving their living conditions, and also came to learn about the various
government welfare programs that could directly benefit them, such as subsidies,
scholarships, and healthcare services.
