Gramasabha Meeting

UNNAT BHARAT ABHIYAN (UBA) is a National Programme by Central Government to develop villages through the involvement of higher education institutions. As a part of this programme, S.Charles Jebabalan, Co-Coordinator of UBA programme along with the Staff Dr.M.Joseph Salethraj, Assistant Professor in Physics and student volunteers had gone to Thayanur Village on 26.01.26 to attend Grama Sabha Meeting. Our UBA Coordinator Dr.Anusuya, Registrar, Indra Ganesan Institution took all the initiatives to attend the meeting. The Gram Sabha meeting was conducted on 26th January 2026 in Thayanur Village. The meeting aimed to engage with the local community, understand their needs and discuss ongoing development activities. The Grama Sabha Meeting was headed by the Clerk Mr.Chandran. Many villagers, Self Help group members and 100 Days Workers also participated in this meeting. Dr.M.Joseph Salethraj, Co-Coordinator of UBA programme explained the UBA scheme and its objectives to all the participants. More than 100 Manjapai were distributed to the villagers. Villagers shared concerns related to sanitation, water supply, and education. The meeting concluded successfully with positive participation from staff, students and villagers.
