Hamstech Visit

Mr. A. Seshappa, a member of the CIST faculty, and Mrs. K. Manasa, a Technical Assistant, visited Hamstech on September 9, 2024, to see various cloth stitching techniques. The visit aimed to acquire knowledge of modern sewing processes and their use in the bag-making industry. Mrs. Sahithi Reddy, a delegate from Hamstech, provided an exhaustive account of the techniques used in Banjara embroidery, highlighting the intricate craftsmanship required by the process. Her display also included specialized tools for sewing and embroidery, highlighting the significance of these gadgets in enhancing both productivity and precision. During the visit, Mrs. Reddy expressed her willingness to collaborate further by offering a oneweek training session centered on modern bag production procedures. This instruction will include advanced processes, machine operations, and established industry standards. The tour proved to be very informative, providing valuable insights into the stitching processes and facilitating potential collaboration for skill development in bag and textile manufacture.
