Ignite Idea Competition At SriRamNagar Government School

The IGNITE Idea Competition, held on August 13, 2024, at the Government School in Sriram Nagar, was organized by the Centre for Innovation and Social Transformation (CIST) at K G Reddy College of Engineering & Technology as part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Programme. Guided by Mr. Mohan, Programme Associate, the event aimed to foster creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills among school students by encouraging them to address real-life challenges in their communities. Students showcased innovative ideas, including a broomstick designed to reduce back pain, a height-adjustable water tap for ergonomic use, and a water recycling system for plants, promoting sustainability. These practical and socially relevant solutions highlighted the students' creativity and empathy. The competition successfully nurtured critical thinking, confidence, and a sense of social responsibility, with participants demonstrating enthusiasm in brainstorming and presenting prototypes. No registration or transportation costs were incurred, ensuring accessibility. The event underscored the importance of cultivating innovation in young learners, with potential for their ideas to evolve and impact their communities positively.
