Internal Idea Hackathon

The Internal Idea Hackathon-2025 was organized by the Centre for Innovation and Social Transformation (CIST) at KG Reddy College of Engineering & Technology on October 14, 2025. Held in collaboration with AIESEC and EWB-KGRCET, the event was themed around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to encourage community-centric problem solving. The program followed a three-stage model beginning with an Ideathon, where over 20 multidisciplinary teams pitched initial concepts, followed by a Youth Speak Forum Workshop focused on leadership and design thinking, and concluding with a Hackathon phase for prototype planning. These activities aimed to instill an entrepreneurial mindset and strengthen competencies in teamwork and communication. The initiative successfully generated several impact-oriented solution concepts and established a continuous innovation pipeline for future incubation. Remarkably, the entire event was conducted with no costs incurred for registration or transportation.
