As per the instructions of the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, Andhra Pradesh, the Department of Telugu and NSS Units of SCIM Government College (A), Tanuku, jointly organized a six-day Yoga Awareness and Practice Program to promote health, wellness, and mindfulness among students and faculty.
Each day featured specific yogic practices focusing on different postures, breathing techniques, and meditation:
June 16: Warm-up, Bhastrika Pranayama, and Meditation – boosted respiratory health and mental clarity.
June 17: Warm-up, Standing Asanas and Three-Stage Pranayama – improved posture, balance, and lung function.
June 18: Warm-up, Surya Namaskars, and Meditation – offered full-body activation, flexibility, and stress relief.
June 19: Warm-up, Sitting Asanas, Bhramari Pranayama, and Meditation – enhanced digestion, calmness, and inner peace.
June 20: Warm-up, Common Yoga Protocol, Bhastrika Pranayama, and Meditation – promoted immunity and emotional well-being.
June 21 (Yoga Day): Complete Yoga Protocol, Bhastrika Pranayama, and Guided Meditation – concluded the program with collective harmony and mindfulness.
Over 200 students and staff participated actively, benefiting physically and mentally through the systematic practice of yoga. The event successfully fostered a culture of health, discipline, and inner awareness among the college community.
