Medical Camp and Seminar on Women Health & Hygiene Sensitization

The UBA cell, IMI Kolkata organized a Medical Camp in collaboration with IRIS Multispecialty Hospital, supported by the Baruipur Young Men’s Association at Madarat Gram Panchayat, Baruipur. This initiative, saw active participation from students and faculty members of IMI Kolkata. The villagers also participated with great enthusiasm, with over a hundred men and women availing themselves of the healthcare services during the initiative. Students managed a smooth registration process, followed by Blood pressure, Pulmonary Function tests, and blood glucose checkups conducted by IRIS. Doctors then addressed villagers’ health concerns, while a lady doctor from IRIS provided valuable insights on women's health, discussing essential do’s and don’ts during menstruation and pregnancy. With hundreds of villagers benefiting from the camp, the event was a great success, reinforcing the importance of serving society.
