Nasha Mukti Abhiyan

The UBA Cell of Dogra Degree College actively participated in an awareness program organized under the theme "Nasha Mukti Abhiyan" (Drug De-addiction Awareness Campaign) at Panchayat Ghar, Palli (Bishnah). This initiative reinforced the college's commitment to fostering a healthier and addiction-free society, especially among the youth. The session was led by Dr. Jyoti Dogra, Medical Officer, GAD, Palli, from the Directorate of AYUSH, Samba. She sensitized the attendees on the harmful effects of drug abuse on physical, mental, and social well-being. Dr. Dogra emphasized the increasing vulnerability of youth to substance abuse and stressed their crucial role in prevention and awareness. She also highlighted the significance of holistic healing and traditional wellness approaches under the AYUSH systems in addressing addiction.The awareness session covered several key topics aimed at educating participants about substance abuse and promoting overall well-being. It provided a comprehensive understanding of drugs, drug abuse, and addiction, along with highlighting the dangers of drug overdose. The session also focused on the ill effects of tobacco and related substances, and the mental as well as physical health risks associated with substance use. Emphasis was laid on the role of youth in curbing addiction and encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyles.
