NSS Special Camp Report for the academic year 2018-2019 conducted by Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science (Autonomous). Key Details: Camp Duration: 08.12.2017 to 14.12.2017 Location: Kondanoor, Kondanoor Pudur, Panapalli, Kandivalli, Jambukandi. Organizers: National Service Scheme (NSS), Unit – I, II, III. Day-wise Summary: Day 01 - Inauguration & Swachh Bharat: Felicitation by college dignitaries. Volunteers cleaned Kondanoor, removing 200 kg of plastic waste. Day 02 - Handloom Awareness & Renovation: Theme: Handloom & Handmade Products. Renovation of library, public hall, and children's park in villages. Awareness campaigns on tobacco and cancer through street plays. Day 03 - No Plastic & Medical Camp: Distribution of paper and cloth bags to promote a plastic-free environment. Awareness programs on women’s rights through street plays. Day 06 - Patriotism & Renovation Work: Social awareness talks and motivational sessions. Cookery competition among volunteers. Day 07 - Closing Ceremony: Felicitation by Dr. K. Karunakaran (Principal & Secretary) and other dignitaries. Conclusion of the camp.
