Patriotism and Sustainability: Independence Day Celebration in Chaukhandi Village

On 15th August 2024, Bharati College, under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, celebrated Independence Day with the village gram sabha and villagers of Chaukhandi Village. The event featured a flag hoisting ceremony, a Tiranga rally honoring freedom fighters, and the collective singing of the National anthem and patriotic songs, fostering unity and pride. A plantation drive followed, with Ashoka, Neem, Mango, and Chikoo trees planted to promote environmental sustainability. The day concluded with a meeting addressing local issues like sewage and sanitation. This meaningful celebration strengthened the bond between the college and villagers, blending patriotism with ecological responsibility.
