Plantation Drive to mark " EK PEDH MAA KE NAAM"
The UBA Cell in collaboration with the NSS Unit organized a highly impactful plantation drive in the
college premises under the “Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam” campaign. The initiative, aimed at
promoting environmental awareness and sustainability, received enthusiastic participation
from both students and staff.
The event was spearheaded by Principal Dr. Bela Thakur, who underscored the significance of
environmental stewardship and encouraged the college community to actively engage in such
initiatives and her support was pivotal in highlighting the importance of individual and
collective efforts in protecting our environment.
The drive saw effective coordination by several key figures:
• NSS Programme Officer: Ms Simran Thakur
• UBA Coordinator: Mr Balwant Singh
Their combined efforts ensured the smooth execution of the drive, which involved planting
numerous saplings around the college campus. Each participant contributed to the success of
the event, reinforcing the college’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The “Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam” campaign is an inspiring movement that encourages communities
to plant trees in honor of their mothers, symbolizing a tribute to nature and future generations.
The plantation drive at Dogra Degree College reflects the institution’s dedication to
contributing positively to environmental conservation.
The college extends its gratitude to all participants and organizers for their dedication and
enthusiasm. The Dogra Degree College community is encouraged to continue supporting such
