Planting 500 Palm Saplings

On 27th July 2025, our college conducted a palm sapling plantation program at Medavakkam Big Lake, where 500 palm saplings were planted to promote environmental protection and enhance green cover in the area. The event was inaugurated by Thiru S. Aravind Ramesh, MLA of Sholinganallur Constituency, and Justice V. Periyakarupaaiyah, Former Judge, High Court of Madras. Their presence and encouraging words inspired all participants. Students, staff, and volunteers actively took part in the plantation drive. Palm saplings were chosen for their ability to grow well in local conditions and their role in preventing soil erosion and supporting the ecosystem. The program aimed to create awareness about the importance of trees and gave participants a valuable experience in contributing to a cleaner and greener environment.
