Plastic Collection Drive at KGRCET

The Centre for Innovation and Social Transformation (CIST) at KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology organized a Plastic Collection Drive as part of its sustainability initiative to support the construction of an eco-friendly bus shelter at Nakkala Palli Village. The objective of the drive was to collect recyclable plastic waste from the college campus and utilize it as a raw material for the proposed bus shelter project, thereby promoting recycling, waste reduction, and sustainable construction practices. The plastic collection drive was conducted at the KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology campus from 19-04-2026 to 22-04-2026. Students, faculty members, and staff actively participated in the campaign by depositing used plastic materials such as bottles, containers, covers, and other recyclable plastic items at designated collection points established across the campus.
