Rural Internship at Palle Srujana

The Rural Internship Program was organized by the Centre for Innovation and Social Transformation (CIST) at KG Reddy College of Engineering & Technology in association with Palle Srujana from July 22 to July 29, 2025. Designed specifically for first-year students, this early-intervention initiative aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical engineering and real-world application while nurturing socially responsible problem solvers.The program offered three distinct streams: a Technical Internship focused on coding fundamentals and industry practices; a Rural Internship with Palle Srujana centered on grassroots innovation and sustainable traditional knowledge; and a Non-Technical Internship dedicated to community service projects in local schools and villages. These pathways helped students build essential skills in teamwork, communication, and empathy. By introducing students to innovation ecosystems from day one, the program successfully laid a foundation for future startup and research initiatives. The event's total expenditure was recorded at 5000, covering guest honorariums and registration fees.
