Screen, Support, Survive – Breast Cancer Screening
As part of Pink October 2025, Shoolini University organized a breast cancer screening camp for women at Kalyan Bhawan, Solan, in collaboration with the YouWeCan Foundation, on 14th and 15th October, with the aim of promoting early detection, preventive care, and awareness about breast cancer. The initiative provided vital support to women from the local community, particularly those with limited access to screening facilities, by offering free breast cancer screenings conducted by trained healthcare professionals in a safe and supportive environment. Volunteers from Shoolini University assisted with registration, guidance, and facilitation, ensuring smooth coordination while reinforcing the campaign’s key message, “Early detection saves lives.” The camp was conducted by the YouWeCan medical team, and educational materials were distributed to raise awareness about self-examination techniques, common warning signs, and healthy lifestyle practices. Volunteers actively engaged with participants, addressing queries and encouraging them to share the information within their families and communities, thereby extending the initiative’s impact. A total of 150 women were screened during the camp, which successfully reached a diverse group of participants from Solan. Through the “Screen, Support, Survive – Pink October Initiative,” Shoolini University reaffirmed its commitment to women’s health, community service, and preventive healthcare by effectively combining professional medical support with community engagement to create a meaningful and lasting impact.
