Overview of the Program:
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, initiated by the Ministry of Education, aims to bring transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an inclusive India. As part of this initiative, a Gram Sabha cum-orientation/training program was conducted in Sayyed Pimpri village, focusing on skill development, rural governance, and community engagement. This program is being organized across 750 Gram Panchayats nationwide and includes special interactions with senior citizens above 75 years, recognizing their lifelong contributions to society.
Student Participation:
Komal Dhikale and Ajit Pawar represented our institute with great enthusiasm. Their involvement in the program included:
Community Engagement: Both students participated in discussions with village leaders and senior citizens, learning about the challenges and opportunities for rural development. They gained insight into the experiences shared by elders, which were valuable in understanding the socio-cultural dynamics of the village.
Orientation & Training: As part of the orientation and training session, Komal and Ajit received guidance on how to effectively contribute to rural development projects. The officials from the Ministry provided valuable inputs on organizing community-based activities, sustainable development, and empowering local governance.
Collaboration with Ministry Officials: Ministry representatives visited the Gram Sabhas to oversee the progress of the training and provide further guidance on rural development initiatives. Komal and Ajit had the opportunity to engage with these officials, understanding the larger goals of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and how students can contribute to these national efforts.
Special Felicitation of Senior Citizens:
The event also honored senior citizens (above 75 years) from the village for their contributions over the years. Komal and Ajit played an active role in assisting with the felicitation ceremony, interacting with the senior members of the community and acknowledging their life-long work in the village.
Conclusion:
We are immensely proud of Komal Dhikale and Ajit Pawar for their active participation in the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan at Sayyed Pimpri village. Their dedication to rural development and community service reflects the values of our institute and the commitment we hold toward societal progress. The experience they have gained through this initiative will not only enrich their academic journey but also strengthen their resolve to contribute positively to the community in the future.
