SWACHCHATA HI SEVA CAMPAIGN

The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) cell of Dogra Degree College, in collaboration with the NSS Unit, successfully organized a two-day event under the "Swachhata Hi Seva" .This initiative aimed at promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability. The Campaign saw effective coordination by several key figures: • UBA Coordinator: Mr Balwant Singh • UBA Member : Ms. Shivangi Dhrora • NSS Programme Officer: Ms Simran Thakur On day 1st (25TH of September), there held the Cleanliness Drive. The UBA Cell in collaboration with NSS Unit took an initiative to make college campus ‘litter free’ In this connection, a cleanliness drive was organized in the college campus under the guidance of UBA P.I. Coordinator Dogra Degree College , Mr. Balwant Singh Parihar & NSS Programme Officer, Ms. Simran Thakur . Number of students participated in the cleanliness drive and they carried dustbins for collection and segregation of waste items. Thorough cleanliness of playground, lawns and college surroundings was done by the students and the staff of the college On day 2nd (26TH of September), there held the "Best Out of Waste" activity The second day shifted focus to creativity and innovation with a "Best out of Waste" activity. Participants were encouraged to transform discarded materials into functional and artistic items. This engaging activity showcased the students’ creativity while also highlighting the importance of recycling and waste management. Under the guidance P.I. Coordinator UBA, Mr. Balwant Singh Parihar and Ms. Shivangi Dhrora, Member of UBA Cell, students created an array of items, from decorative pieces to practical household goods. This hands-on experience allowed participants to understand the value of repurposing waste materials, thus promoting a sustainable lifestyle The college extends its gratitude to all participants and organizers for their dedication and enthusiasm.
