Vignana Sankalpam Program at SriRamNagar Government School

On November 26, 2024, the Centre for Innovation and Social Transformation (CIST) at KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology organized the Vignana Sankalpam Programme at the Government School in Sriramnagar village under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) initiative. Led by Ms. Samyuktha Penta, Head of CIST, and Mr. B. Mohan Venkat Sai Krishna, Programme Associate-CIST, the event aimed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and promote scientific thinking among school students. The objectives included exposing students to science and arts through hands-on learning, encouraging problem-solving skills via prototype development, and inspiring interest in STEM and artistic fields. Students participated in practical activities like lighting a bulb with wires and crafting with mud, which boosted their confidence and transformed simple ideas into meaningful learning experiences. Key outcomes included enhanced problem-solving skills, increased interest in STEM and creativity, and motivation to explore innovative solutions to everyday challenges. Conducted at no cost, the programme, facilitated by the CIST team, nurtured young minds and laid the foundation for future initiatives to support grassroots innovation and critical thinking in Sriramnagar village.
