Village visit Programme

On 26th July 2025, a visit was made to village Bani, one of the five villages adopted by the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell of S.S. Khanna Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Prayagraj. The main objective of this program was to make the rural community, especially women, aware of their rights and social problems. On this occasion, the girl students of the college presented a sensitive and important topic like 'domestic violence' in an effective manner through a street play in the Panchayat Bhawan premises. Through this presentation, the girl students tried to explain to the women that domestic violence can happen not only physically but also at the mental, emotional and economic level, and raising voice against it legally is not only their right but also a social responsibility. Dr. Neha Rai, Coordinator of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, along with her team Dr. Seema Pandey, Dr. Anuj Pandey, Dr. Prachi Kumari, Riya Sinha held a meeting with the village head Shri Pradeep Singh and discussed the major problems prevailing in the village such as - the status of education, availability of health services, cleanliness, women's safety and employment opportunities.
