Visit to Raen Basera- Shelter Home for Urban Homeless

The UBA Cell in collaboration with the NSS Unit of Dogra Degree College organized a meaningful social outreach visit to Rain Basera – Shelter Home for Urban Homeless under the guidance of Ms. Simran Thakur,UBA Co convener. The visit was conducted as part of the unit’s ongoing commitment to community welfare and social upliftment. Volunteers actively participated in the initiative by contributing essential food items, including edible oil, milk, grains, and other daily necessities. These items were voluntarily collected by the students, reflecting their collective sense of social concern and responsibility. During the visit, volunteers interacted with the residents of the shelter home, providing not only material assistance but also emotional support and companionship. The programme was supported by Ms. Rajni, Coordinator, whose cooperation ensured the smooth conduct of the activity. The interaction helped foster mutual understanding, dignity, and respect between students and the shelter residents. The outreach initiative served as a practical learning experience, allowing students to translate classroom values into real-life service while strengthening their commitment to humanitarian causes.
