World Water Day Celebrations at ZPHS, Tholkatta Village

On March 25, 2025, the Unnat Bharath Abhiyan Cell of the Centre for Innovation & Social Transformation (CIST) at KG Reddy College of Engineering & Technology organized a World Water Day celebration at ZPHS Tholkatta. The event aimed to raise awareness about water conservation, engage students in sustainable water management discussions, and encourage creative expression through poster-making. Nine impactful posters were created by ZPHS students, highlighting the importance of water conservation. The event fostered meaningful conversations on environmental responsibility and provided CIST students with insights into the infrastructure and educational challenges faced by rural schools through interactions with teachers. This collaboration strengthened community engagement and knowledge sharing, aligning with the Unnat Bharath Abhiyan’s goals. The poster-making activity empowered students to become advocates for sustainable water practices, while CIST students gained a deeper understanding of rural educational challenges, inspiring potential solutions. The event, with a travel expenditure of ₹1500, reinforced the significance of societal development through education and collaboration. CIST plans to continue supporting schools like ZPHS Tholkatta for sustainable growth.
