Yelkaguda Village Visit (for Problem Scoping)

On March 4, 2025, students and faculty from KG Reddy College of Engineering, under the Centre for Innovation and Social Transformation, visited Yelkaguda village for problem scoping as part of their Social Innovation Course. Organized by Mrs. T Sandhya and Mr. G Ravi Kumar, the visit focused on understanding healthcare challenges faced by the community. Students interacted with local residents, Anganwadi workers, school children, and farmers to identify gaps in healthcare delivery, particularly related to medical facilities and health issues. The visit highlighted the potential for improved healthcare outcomes through better training for healthcare workers and sustainable solutions like telemedicine to address geographic isolation. The impact included enhanced community awareness, identification of healthcare gaps, and empowerment of local healthcare workers. No expenses were incurred for registration, lunch, snacks, or transportation. The visit laid the groundwork for developing innovative, accessible healthcare solutions for Yelkaguda.
