Further to the extension activities in connection with the Village Adoption Scheme under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA , IGNOU Regional Centre, Trivandrum has organized one day workshop on “Eco-Friendly Cosmetics” at Vallicode Village,Pathanamthitta District on 10th March 2023 for the benefits of the villagers including Community Development Society (CDS) workers.
The Workshop was conducted in association with the Vallicode Panchayath and Department of Chemistry, Catholicate College Pathanamthitta.The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. B Sukumar, Senior Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre, Trivandrum. Dr. Nisha, Assistant professor, Department of Chemistry, St. Alberts College Ernakulum was the resource person. Dr. Nisha demonstrated the manufacture of various eco-friendly cosmetics like, soaps, shampoo, cold creams, detergents etc. Faculties from Catholicate College Pathanamthitta and St. Alberts College, Ernakulum spoke on the occasion.
Outcome – Provide necessary skill training in production of “Eco-Friendly Cosmetics” like soaps, shampoo, cold creams, detergents etc
