Chameli Devi Group of Institutions (Indore) has adopted five villages under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan program - Umrikheda, Rala Mandal, Asrawad Khurd, Mirzapur, and Bardari. The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan team at Chameli Devi Group of Institutions visited the villages, conducted 5 Gram Sabhas and identified the need of providing filtered water to the students in the government schools. To get this done in a budget funded by Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, the team successfully designed and developed a water purifier that can be installed in Government Schools of the adopted villages.Â
The unique feature of this filter is that it contains a double UV filter and water is certified by MPP Laboratory, Indore. The students and staff of the institute have contributed in designing this filter. On November 30, 2019, the team installed its first filter in a Govt. High School in Umrikheda. Currently, the institute is in the process of making 4 more filters with some extra features.
