- Development and survey of the village, covering topics such as rural sanitation, toilets, drainage management, drinking water, road development, road evaluation and reinforcement, water conservation, health, and drought, among others.

- SRM Institute of Science and Technology, under the collage of science and humanities students for second-year BS and BSc Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics students, along with faculty members, visited the Government School of Kolathur-Vembakkam village, Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu. Students Contributed their service by cleaning and painting the classroom walls and also the compound wall of the school. They started with the cleaning process of whole school and its compound then after that they painted the walls. Students engaged in the societal activity very enthusiastically. During this child from the village joined with the SRMIST students and thanked them for making their school surrounding cleaning and new look of the school.
