REPORT ON GRAM SABHA MEETING
On the auspicious occasion of Republic Day, a Gram Sabha meeting was convened on 26th January 2024. 33 Panchayats covered and especially UNNAT BHARAT ABIYAN adopted panchayats and other panchayats viz., A.K.Mottur, Mookanoor, Kasinayakanpatti, Pachal, Erampatti, Kulithigai, Mallapapalli, Marimanikuppam, Pa.Mathampatti, Krishnapuram, Madapali, Rachamangalam, Kunichi, Kodamampalli, Sevathur, Kathirampatti, Vishmangalam, Thiriyalam, Perampattu, M.N.Gundai, Kothur (Gandhi Nagar), Mudalur, Cuddalore, Mangalakkal, Madapalli, Thatchambadi, Arur, Nainapalli, Dharmapuri (Jeeva Nagar), Mathur, Salem, Konneri Kuppam.
The meeting was a collaborative effort involving the active participation of Sacred Heart College, Department of Extension Education and Services staffs 27 of them and I - MSW (HRM) students. The Gram Sabha provided a platform for the community members, Department of Extension Education and Services staffs 27 and the MSW(HRM) students to engage in meaningful dialogue and contribute to the decision-making process for the betterment of the society. All the students demonstrated their commitment to community development by actively participating in the Gram Sabha. The students not only attended the meeting but also engaged with the community members, fostering a sense of collaboration and mutual understanding. Their presence added a fresh perspective and valuable insights to the discussions, enriching the overall deliberations.
The Gram Sabha meeting covered a range of important topics relevant to community welfare. Issues such as education, health, sanitation, and employment opportunities were discussed. MSW(HRM) students actively contributed by sharing their academic knowledge and practical experiences, offering innovative solutions to address the challenges faced by the community. The discussions were constructive, and community members appreciated the active involvement of the students.
As a result of the Gram Sabha meeting, several recommendations and resolutions were formulated to address the identified challenges. MSW(HRM) students actively contributed to the drafting of these resolutions, incorporating community feedback and ensuring that the proposed solutions were practical and sustainable. The resolutions encompassed a range of short-term and long-term goals, aiming to create a positive impact on the community's overall well-being. The Gram Sabha meeting was a successful endeavor marked by the enthusiastic participation of Sacred Heart College, Department of Extension Education and Services staffs 27 of them and MSW(HRM) students and community members. This collaborative effort sets a positive precedent for future interactions, fostering a sense of shared responsibility for the holistic development of the community.
