The students from the UBA (Unnat Bharat Abhiyan) cell of Shree LR Tiwari College of
Engineering took the initiative to organize a compelling "Say No to Plastic" awareness program
in Depivali Village. Driven by their dedication to environmental conservation, the event aimed
to educate villagers about the harmful effects of plastic pollution and promote the adoption of
sustainable alternatives. The program kicked off with informative presentations, shedding light
on the grave consequences of plastic usage on our ecosystems. Through interactive sessions,
villagers actively engaged in discussions, sharing their insights and concerns. As a practical
solution, the students distributed free cloth bags, emphasizing their role in reducing plastic waste.
The event received an enthusiastic response from the community, indicating a growing awareness
and willingness to embrace eco-friendly practices. By spearheading the initiative independently,
the students demonstrated commendable leadership and commitment to making a positive impact
on their surroundings. Moving forward, they remain dedicated to organizing similar grassroots
efforts, driving change at the local level and inspiring others to join the movement towards a
greener, more sustainable future.
