On August 25, 2023, a solar-powered light was successfully installed in Podapada village. The installation ceremony was attended by the village's Ward (01) member and numerous villagers. Dr. Seema Bahinipati, the dedicated Coordinator of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), graced the occasion and engaged in a productive discussion with the local residents. The significance of this installation lies in the fact that it provided illumination to an area that previously had no access to light. This newfound source of light holds great importance for all the villagers, enhancing their quality of life and safety. Encouraged by this positive development, there are now plans underway to replicate this success by installing similar solar-powered lights in different villages as well, thereby extending the benefits of sustainable and accessible lighting to even more communities.
