In the sacred memory of the freedom fighters of our nation, an important programme of tree plantation was undertaken in the premises of Mirpur Institution was undertaken.
This year we planted only fruit trees with the help of the villagers. About 15 villagers, staff of the institution and 18 students participated in this programme together.
This year it was decided that only lemon trees would be planted on the grounds of various institutions in the village, especially on the grounds of neighbouring schools, churches, clubs and crematoriums.
The lemon tree is planted primarily for its nutritional fruitfulness and capabilities. These trees provide fruit for the villagers and also for the students who study on the school grounds.
There are two churches in this village. Most of the villagers are associated with one of the two churches in Mirpur. Various people associated with these two churches have been actively involved in this whole programme.
