“Indian Knowledge System and Modern Science” Under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan By Shri K.E.N Raghavan
The primary objective of the event was to create awareness about the significance of integrating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) with modern scientific approaches for achieving sustainable rural development under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. The session, led by K. E. N. Raghavan, aimed to inspire participants to recognize the value of traditional wisdom and its practical applications in solving real-life challenges faced by rural communities. Another key purpose was to encourage active involvement of Participating Institutes (PIs), coordinators, and students in grassroots-level activities. In the presence of Prof. Arvind Choubey and under the guidance of Dr. Shri Krishan Rai, the event sought to strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and villages through the initiatives of the RCI Cell.
The program also aimed to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and motivation for students to engage in fieldwork, community interaction, and problem-solving using both scientific methods and indigenous practices.
Overall, the purpose of the event was to foster a sense of social responsibility, promote sustainable development practices, and build a bridge between traditional knowledge and modern innovation for holistic rural transformation.
