CIST Empathy Visit to YethbarPalle Village under Social Innovation Course
The Centre for Innovation and Social Transformation (CIST) of KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology organized an Empathy Visit to YethbarPalle Village on 30-04-2026 as part of the Social Innovation Course. The visit was led by Mr. G. Ravi Kumar and Mr. M. Laxman, along with 20 students, to provide practical exposure in applying the principles of Human-Centered Design. The activity also contributes to the objectives of UBA – Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, which promotes collaboration between higher educational institutions and rural communities for sustainable village development. The initiative reflects the commitment of CIST towards promoting innovation with social impact, experiential education, and student-driven rural solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also supports the mission of UBA by encouraging students and faculty to engage with villages and contribute to inclusive rural transformation. The visit was successfully completed with active participation from students, faculty, and the residents of YethbarPalle Village.
