Visit to YethbarPally Village

On December 26, 2025, the Center for Innovation and Social Transformation (CIST) at KG Reddy College of Engineering & Technology, in collaboration with the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) team, conducted a field visit to Yethbarpalli village. Led by Dr. A. Seshappa, the delegation met with the newly elected Sarpanch, Mr. Praveen Reddy, and local ward members to identify agricultural challenges and align UBA objectives with village governance. The visit focused on addressing the excessive use of fertilizers and pesticides, which has led to declining soil health and increased input costs for local farmers. By engaging with the Grama Sabha, the team aimed to motivate farmers to adopt eco-friendly practices, balanced nutrient management, and efficient water optimization. This initiative established a foundation for future technical interventions and community-institution partnerships designed to enhance the socio-economic well-being of the village through sustainable agricultural development.
